Iphone Woes

Well Im having Iphone problems. I got it wet in the washing machine....but not too wet....I took it out and took it apart and it didnt have any water in it or anything like that but I dried it out with a blow dryer after opening it up and put it in a bag of rice for a few days...then I turned it on and used it for a few days....made calls with it and received calls with it.....the only problem I was having with it was that every once in a while I would notice it restarting itself. Then after a few days it would do it more and more often. So I looked up the problem on the net and everyone pretty much had done the same thing when they had this problem. They hooked it up to Itunes and restored it. So i hooked mine up to I tunes and hit the restore button. It started restoring it but about 3/4's of the way thru it stopped and said it had an error 29 and that the phone needed to be restored again. So I tried it again and again. It will not restore and whats more , the phone will not forget about it. It still will only show you a picture of a USB plug on the screen and says Itunes. Ive looked at youtube and this seems to be a common problem ....iphones getting stuck in recovery mode.....Ive tried several different things but none has worked yet.......I should have left it alone and taken it to the store to be restored and let them put it into its present unusable condition.....so that they might feel obligated to fix it.....so im pretty bummed about it. ....trying to figure out what to do.....

Livin On Tulsa Time

Well I'm off on an adventure in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My sister Jane called me about coming to work out here in a refinery. There used to be two refineries on opposite sides of the road. One was a Sinclair and the other was a Sunoco refinery. A company called Holly bought both of them so now it is just on big refinery. Don't know if you realized it or not but the Arkansas river runs through the middle of Tulsa. Just like the Mississippi river runs through the middle of Memphis, Tennessee. Down on the river in Tulsa there is a riverwalk and places to dine out on the river's shore. Also lots of bike trails to ride on.

The company I'm supposed to be going to work for is called Richard Construction Inc. But they pronounce it like the french would...Rishard with an accent on the last syllable...  RCI bid on the job of hooking the two refineries together. So we will be putting pipes in for several thousand feet to hook the two tank farms of the refineries together. If you go to google maps and type in "holly refinery tulsa oklahoma" and look at the sattelite picture you can see the two refineries tank farms on opposite sides of the road.

I arrived here after leaving Mississippi Tuesday afternoon. I arrive here in Coweta Oklahoma at about 1am Wednesday morning. I had an appointment to take a drug test at a clinic in Tulsa so Wednesday I got that done. They did a breathalyzer and a urine test. The water I had drank with breakfast paid off....I hate to go for a urine test and then you suddenly find out that you have absolutely no urge to pee....Then you have to think about mountain streams and run the water....anyway.....I was able to perform like a Russian RaceHorse.
Im having trouble with my pickup truck's starter. When it gets warm it cranks hard. A sure sign of a tired starter winding. Since a new one is over 300 dollars because its a high torque reduction gear starter to start my diesel, I took it off and carried it down to a rebuilder  so hopefully I can get it fixed for 150.00. I may get to go in tomorrow (friday) for orientation at the refinery. They will give me a test and see if I'm qualified to work there...so we'll see how it goes. I will post some pics of Tulsa as I roam around with my Iphone.
Stay tuned...................

Greasy Day

I spent most of the day looking up at the bottom of a 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser. I put a clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing in it earlier back in November with some help from Lee Russell helping me get it shoehorned back up onto the engine again.....they tell you in the manual to remove the gas tank to do this job so you'll have enough room ....but I thought that was a bit extreme. We managed to get it in there...barely. What I did today was take out  the front and rear drive shaft and put new seals in them. Needless to say when you take out the old seal gravity lets you know that there is plenty of old sticky thick oil in the transfer case. Its kinda like honey running up your arms.....but it doesn't smell or taste like honey. It will however, keep your hair matted to your head quite nicely. Also removed the drivers side front axle and replace all the seals and gaskets and brake pads.(already did the passenger side Saturday) Then finished up by squeezing plastic bottles of 90W oil uphill into the transfer case, the transmission, the back differential and the front differential. ...ended up using about 5 quarts in all...90W oil kinda gets thicker when the highs are in the 40's. Squeezing it is hard enough but by the time you lay there on your shoulders holding your hands up in the air everything gets real heavy ...I guess your arms don't get enough circulation for your muscles or something...anyway It's in there now....gonna  take a hot shower and see if I can get the smell of rearend grease off of me.....oh and the 90W too....................lol.

This is why you dont stay in a trailerhouse.

This thing was still taking down trees while shredding this mobile home thru them. It threw the man that was in this trailer out on the ground....its a good thing it did. It looked like it had tie downs on the back but not on the front side.

This is one tore up trailer. He lived though.

Disturbing Movie About The Future of Food

I just finished watching this movie about what has happened to our food supply in the past decade. It really will make you think about how man is going to make himself extinct if he's allowed to go on living independently of God. I will see if I can figure out how to post the link to it.

Exploring the Blogging Bizness

Well, It seems that about the time I figured out how to post pictures and videos to facebook of the stuff we've done, more and more are deleting their facebook accounts. So.....Im going to try to start a blog as a place to post some stuff so that all can see it. Dont know how all this works but Im going to give it a try .....The Iphone makes it easy to take a video and post it to facebook or youtube, but I have not considered how to post it to a blog....something I'll have to  learn I guess.....I have moved some pics from my iphone to this baby acer so I'll try to put some of them up to see how it goes.........
P.S.
